Lawrenceburg firefighters had to cut a hole through the floor of a home Tuesday to rescue a dog that had become trapped in a well underneath the house. The dog had been trapped at the bottom of a twelve-foot well for around two days. Firefighters were able to use a rope system to lift the dog to safety. The dog appeared to be uninjured. Since the residents were not the owners, the dog was transported to the Lawrenceburg Animal Shelter for evaluation.
