The Tennessee Department of Transportation’s Presents the ‘Nobody Trashes Tennessee’ Campaign

The Tennessee Department of Transportation’s (TDOT) Nobody Trashes Tennessee litter prevention program encourages citizens and tourists to keep Tennessee beautiful and clean by disposing of litter properly when summer travel heats up throughout the state. Travelers are urged to take part in the Trash Masters Rewards program while they are in Tennessee, whether they are taking in the natural beauty of the state or traveling a scenic byway. A fun, online initiative called Trash Masters Rewards encourages Tennessee residents to take easy, constructive steps to reduce garbage. By doing tasks like taking a brief trash quiz, subscribing to a newsletter, or participating in a community cleanup event, participants can earn points. Travelers who properly dispose of their garbage at any of the 16 Welcome Centers in the state and scan the QR codes on trash cans bearing the Nobody Trashes Tennessee logo will receive double points until July. Points can be exchanged for discounts at nearby Tennessee establishments and special Nobody Trashes Tennessee goods. The Department of Tourist Development runs Tennessee’s Welcome Centers, which are now active centers for litter reduction in addition to providing carefully curated information on nearby restaurants, hotel options, and activities. Visitors can receive incentives by swiftly scanning a QR code, disposing of their garbage properly, and moving closer to a cleaner Tennessee. Tennessee’s public roads are currently littered with about 88 million pieces of trash. TDOT spends more than $35 million a year cleaning up litter, which has a detrimental effect on wildlife, water quality, and tourism. Everyone is encouraged to contribute to the solution via the Nobody Trashes Tennessee campaign.
