Lawrenceburg Rotary Club and Its Members Recognized at District Conference

The Lawrenceburg Rotary Club received multiple honors at the Rotary District 6760 Conference held on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, in Paris, Tennessee. The club was celebrated for its impact across many levels of Rotary service and communication. Lawrenceburg Rotary was awarded the prestigious Five Avenues of Service Award, recognizing outstanding work in Club, Vocational, Community, International, and Youth Service. The club also received the Premier Club Award recognizing its outgoing status as 2023/24 Large Club of the Year, High Visibility Project Award for its long-standing involvement in the Middle Tennessee District Fair, International Avenue of Service Award for its work in Honduras, and the Best Newsletter for a Large Club Award, reflecting the club’s dedication to transparency and member engagement. Individual Rotarians were recognized for their exceptional contributions. Rotarian Stacie Odeneal was honored with the Making Dust Award, a special recognition for her tireless service in various roles across the district. Rotarian Bill Phillips received the Distinguished Service Award for his longtime role as District Awards Chair. In addition, Phillips was presented with The Rotary Foundation’s Citation for Meritorious Service, one of Rotary International’s highest recognitions for impactful service to The Rotary Foundation and its mission. Rotarian Tiffany Cope sat on a five-member panel discussing the role of women in Rotary and Rotarian Stacie Odeneal discussed mental health issues and community engagement at the conference. Rotarian Bill Phillips facilitated the district’s annual awards presentation session and Rotary President Elect Maria Santini was recognized for completing the District’s Rotary Grad School. Lawrenceburg Club President John Johnstone and Past District Governor Jim Johnston also represented the local club. Columbia Rotarian Marilyn Johnston accompanied PDG Jim and received the District’s Spouse Partner Award. The Lawrenceburg Rotary Club continues to lead by example in service, leadership, and dedication to the Rotary motto: Service Above Self. The club’s success at the District Conference highlights the strength of its members and the community partnerships that fuel its work.
