Mary Elizabeth Clayton, age 90, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, May 31, 2025, at NHC Healthcare of Lawrenceburg in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Winter Haven, FL, loved to cook and sew. She was dedicated to her family and loved the beach.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas and Lonie Muriel Crawford King; husband, Ralph Clayton; daughter, Lisa Chapman; sons-in-law, Jimmy Clifton and James Chapman; two great-grandchildren, Dylan Osborn and Destinee Skaggs.

She is survived by three daughters, Renee Huckaby (Chuck) of Fulton, IL, Sandy Osborn (Danny) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Diane Clifton of Lawrenceburg, TN; one sister, Geneva Elliott of Winter Haven, FL; six grandchildren, Jason Clifton (Joy) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Josh Clifton (Daco) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Kristi Skaggs (Marcus) of Panama City, FL, Brooke Osborn of Lawrenceburg, TN, Alicia Chapman (Kaynen) of Waynesboro, TN and Alex Chapman of Waynesboro, TN; six great-grandchildren, Jacob Clifton (Kaitlin), Chelsie Lumpkins (Dylan), Julie Clifton, Jenny Clifton, Jana Clifton, and Jase Osborn; and three great-great grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Thursday, June 5, 2025, with David Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Bumpas Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
