Margarita “Maggie” Ibarra Ochoa

Margarita “Maggie” Ibarra Ochoa, age 87, of Ethridge, TN, passed away on Friday, May 30th, 2025 at NHC Healthcare in Lawrenceburg, TN. Margarita was the only child born to the late Pedro Ibarra Payan and Carmen Ibarra Ochoa on March 7th, 1938 in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico. Margarita started working as a payroll clerk for Pacific Bell in 1973 in San Diego, CA and would go on to retire in 1993. After retirement, she returned to Mazatlan to enjoy her best years of retirement. She was extremely proud to be a “Mazatleca”. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, crafts, admiring the beauty of nature, sharing the different moon phases with her granddaughters, laughing with her many friends, and most of all, her love of baseball, particularly watching the Braves and Padres.

She is survived by her children, Juan Bernardo Navarrete (Debra Padilla) and Marcela Navarrete; grandchildren, Daniela Navarrete, Joel Navarrete, Hannah Crowe, Henry Crowe, and Augustine Crowe; great grandchildren, Aileen Osorio, Davian Perez, and Valerie Perez; special friends, Teresa and John Markey, Maria Elena Covarrubias, and Sandra Guarin.

A memorial service for Ms. Margarita Ibarra Ochoa will be held in Mazatlan, at a later date.
