During its weekly meeting on Friday, May 30th, 2025, the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club proudly recognized long-time member Bill Phillips for his exceptional dedication and service to The Rotary Foundation. Rotary District Governor Darrell Ailshie, joined by District Foundation Chair Eddie Allred, presented Phillips with the prestigious Rotary Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service. This distinguished honor is awarded to Rotarians who have demonstrated outstanding service to The Rotary Foundation through active and impactful support. The award reflects Phillips’ many years of leadership, his unwavering commitment to international service—particularly in Honduras—and his tireless efforts to promote the ideals of Rotary. District Governor Ailshie praised Phillips’ “lifelong example of Service Above Self,” noting his instrumental role in strengthening the Rotary Foundation at both the club and district levels. District Foundation Chair Allred highlighted Phillips’ influence on fundraising, and member education. Phillips, a former Rotary Club president and long-serving Rotary Foundation chair, expressed deep gratitude for the recognition. “The Rotary Foundation changes lives around the world—and being part of that effort has been one of the greatest privileges of my life”. He credited the support of local Rotarians for his efforts in supporting the Rotary Foundation. The Lawrenceburg Rotary Club extends heartfelt congratulations to Bill Phillips for this well-deserved honor and remains committed to advancing Rotary’s mission through service, leadership, and global impact.
