William Andrew “Andy” Russell, age 76, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, May 30, 2025, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Giles County, TN, retired Sergeant from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, and a member of First Baptist Church of Lawrenceburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jewel “Jelly” and Lilla Mae Morgan Russell; his wife, Katherine Rackley Russell; one brother-in-law, David McDonald; one son, William Wade Russell; and one grandson, Will Pugh.

He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Russell Pugh of Summertown, TN; one daughter-in-law, Becky Russell of Lawrenceburg, TN; three grandchildren, Hannah Hostetler (Sam) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Kathryn Hope Shults (Tyler) of Collinwood, TN, and Nicholas Russell of Lawrenceburg, TN; two great-grandchildren, Bennett and Hagan Hostetler; four siblings, Barbara Rudd (Morton) of Pulaski, TN, Bobby Russell (Shelia) of Pulaski, TN, Joyce McDonald of Pulaski, TN, and Jewell Cottrell (Joe) of Brentwood, TN; special friends, Beth Bowden-Jones and Tony Whitehead; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 04, 2025, with Ben Luna officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to the Tennessee Kidney Foundation.
