The Lawrenceburg Rotary Club welcomed fellow Rotarian Chris Fann as the featured speaker during its Friday, May 30th meeting. Fann, a key team member at RealTruck.com, offered an engaging overview of his professional journey, his company’s mission, and his personal philosophy of leadership. Fann serves in a leadership role at RealTruck, where he manages six facilities across the Southeast, Midwest, Northeast and Canada. He began by sharing an overview of RealTruck.com, a leading supplier of aftermarket accessories for pickup trucks. The company offers a wide range of products including tonneau covers, lift kits, off-road gear, and truck bed accessories designed for performance, protection, and personalization. He highlighted RealTruck’s customer-focused philosophy: combining innovation, quality, and service to empower jeep and truck owners to transform their vehicles into “Real Trucks”. While the business overview provided helpful context, the core of Fann’s presentation focused on leadership—a topic he spoke about with passion and purpose. “Once you are a leader,” Fann stated, “your biggest role is to provide HOPE for others.” Fann outlined several key principles that shape his approach to leadership. Lead from the front: Set the standard by modeling the behaviors and mindset you expect. Work cross-functionally: Break down silos and foster collaboration to solve complex problems. Mentor other leaders: Develop others by sharing knowledge, experience, and encouragement. Drive for success: Cultivate a results-driven culture that values growth and accountability. Help others excel: Measure leadership success by how well you empower those around you. He also discussed the differences between managers and leaders. Managers focus on process and performance; leaders, however, focus on people and potential. “Leadership,” Fann explained, “is about helping others see what they can become—and helping them get there.” The club expressed deep appreciation for Fann’s impactful message and for his leadership both within RealTruck and the broader community. His insights reinforced Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self, reminding members that leadership rooted in hope and service can drive lasting change. The Lawrenceburg Rotary Club meets weekly and remains committed to fostering community development, professional growth, and international service.
