Gary Van Banks

Gary Van Banks of Pulaski, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Maury Regional Hospital.  He was born in Howenwald, Tennessee on November 25^th, 1948 and was 76 years old.

Gary was a God fearing, God loving, hardworking, family man. He loved kids and coached baseball for youth leagues. Gary was an avid fan of western movies.

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 2^nd, 2025 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will follow at 2:00pm at Maplewood Cemetery on Monday, June 2^nd, 2025

The family suggests memorial donations be made in Gary’s name to the charity of your choice.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Bertha Carpenter Banks. His wife, Lois Banks. Brothers, Thomas Banks and Randall Banks

He is survived by,

Wife, Jean Banks of Pulaski, Tennessee.

Son, Jeremy Banks of South Branch, Michigan.

Son, Gary Lane Banks of Pulaski, Tennessee.

Brother, Joe Glen banks of Pulaski, Tennessee.

Sister, Betty (James) Malone of Goodspring, Tennessee.

Brother, Jerry “Sparky” Banks of Elkton, Tennessee.

Step-children, Tabitha (Ricky) Bassham of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Matt (Jordon) Davis of Elgin, Alabama. Sabrina (Brad) Davis of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, and Delois (Britton) Davis of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.

8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
