Florence PD Urges Boating Safety

The Florence Police Department is reminding boaters to exercise caution when taking to the water.  They remind everyone that, before operating a boat, you should wear a properly fitted lifejacket, wear a kill switch lanyard, follow navigation rules, become very familiar with your vessel, keep an eye on the weather, and never drink while operating a boat.  Following these simple rules can ensure that everyone remains safer while enjoying a day on the water.
