Andrew L. Stewart, age 86, of Lawrenceburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025 at NHC Healthcare in Columbia, TN. Andy was born on June 27th, 1938 in Columbia, TN. Andy proudly served his country in the United States Army. He would go on to own a successful plumbing business in Lawrenceburg for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to gospel singings, leading prayer, and attending church, often leading the singing at his church. He also enjoyed working outdoors, cooking for others, and spending time with his loving family and friends. Andy was a devoted Christian, and loved reading the Bible with his late wife, Betty Jo. He was a longtime member of Midway Church of Christ and a current member of Salem Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 50 years, Betty Jo Stewart; parents, James Malon and Bessie Stewart; brothers, Roy Stewart, Eddie Stewart, John Stewart; sisters, Clorine Patterson, Columbia Hyde, and Ruth Claud.
He is survived by his daughter, Nora Grimes; granddaughter, Anissa Rose Grimes, and Ziva Claire Griems; sisters-in-law, Glenda Goins (Jim) and Starlene Buie (Gerald).
The family of Andy Stewart would like to extend warm gratitude to Dr. Belinda Bart, Dr. Charles Ball, Billy and Faye Long, James Earl and Katherine Heatherly, Anna Clare, Kirby, and the nursing staff at NHC Columbia for the love and care they were shown during this difficult time. They would also like to thank Wendell Robinson and Jerry Kirk for the years of love and support they have provided to the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Midway Church of Christ or Graymere Church of Christ.
Visitation will be held at Pettus-Turnbo Funeral Home on Sunday, June 1st, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Interment will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Greg Buie, Brian Long, Barry Long, Brad Long, Brent Long, Jerry Kirk, and Larry McAnally.
