The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has issued the 2025 Memorial Day holiday weekend boating reports. Over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, there were no boating-related fatalities, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA). The holiday weekend, which ran from Friday at 5:00 PM to Monday at midnight, is regarded as the unofficial beginning of the summer boating season. Two occurrences involving property damage were reported, along with one injury and a tubing incident on Watts Bar Lake. Furthermore, five BUI (boating under the influence) arrests were made by TWRA wildlife officers. Over the weekend, the TWRA was well-represented around the state. According to agency officials, the majority of the weekend was characterized by cool temperatures and rain, which prevented as much recreational boating as usual.
