The Lawrence County Board of Commissioners will meet today, May 27th at 5:00 for a Regular Session meeting. Commission meetings are open to the public and a time at the beginning of the meeting is provided for residents to comment on matters that are relevant to the items on the agenda. The agenda include memorials and honorariums for the Loretto Baksetball Team and several resolutions. Resolutions will include; approving minutes and fiscal year budget, new bridge signs on Busby Road, approving appointments to Lawrence County Public Library Board, and approving the sale of 3.3 acres of land in Commerce Park for the sum of $84,000.00 to Tenn Thom Realty LLC for the purpose of erecting a service center. Also, a lease agreement between Columbia State, amending the Lawrence County Workers Compensation Injury Policy, enter into interlocal agreement with the City of Lawrenceburg for the operation of the animal shelter, and levy an increase in the Lawrence County Mineral Servance Tax. Lastly, resolutions will include; amending estimated beginning fund balances to audited beginning fund balances for fiscal year 2024-2025, amend specifications for new Lawrence County roads, amending a health and safety plan for government, declaring certain property and services as surplus, entering into contract with Heritage Health Solutions Inc. for reducing inmate medical expenses, and contribute the sum of $12,500 to the Economic Development Corporation of Lawrence County for economic development.
