JD Lucas Butler , age 87 of Iron City, TN passed away Sunday, May 25, 2025 at home after an extended illness. He was a native of Wayne County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, and a deacon at Williams Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at Loretto Memorial Chapel on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Camryn Eaton & Greg Eaton will be officiating. Burial will follow in Hollis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Loretto Memorial Chapel.

Wife- Mona Weaver Butler Holly Creek, TN
Sons- Roger Butler (Donna) Holly Creek, TN
Barry Butler Holly Creek, TN
Daughter- Annette Jones (Monroe) Holly Creek, TN
Brother- Doris Butler Lawrenceburg, TN
Sister- Corene Gamble Lawrenceburg, TN
4 Grandchildren
6 Great Grandchildren
Preceded in death by: Parents- Harvey & Luanna Daniel Butler
Brother- Alfred Butler
Sisters- Viva Wallace, Pauline Stooksberry, Louise Wallace, Nadine Adams,
Colene Willis, Robbie Smith, & Inell Short
Pallbearers will be: Monroe Jones, Josh Butler, Jerry Butler, Dillon Turner,
Tanner Jones, & Doug Lee
Honorary Pallbearers will be: A.C. Hunt & Andy Hunt
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Williams Chapel Freewill Baptist Church Building Fund.
