Work Begins on West Gaines Street School Community Center

Work has officially begun on West Gaines Street School and Community Center.  Workers are currently removing the roof, then will replace it with a new one.  The board overseeing the project will hold a Juneteenth Fest fundraising event on Saturday, June 14 where plans for the center will be on display.  There will be food for sale, a silent auction, and a bounce house for the kids.  Everyone is invited to attend and help support this cause.
