Emergency Crews Clearing Downed Trees and Power Lines

Emergency personnel were out in Lawrence County dealing with numerous downed power lines after a storm blew through the area shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday, with damaging winds.  There was one report in Lawrenceburg of a power pole with live power lines down on top of a van that had people trapped inside.  A power pole caught fire in one part of the county, and several trees were toppled, blocking roadways.  Emergency crews were out in force to clear roadways and restore power.
