All but one of Tennessee’s 95 counties reported a drop in their unemployment rates in April, according to newly released data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
Unemployment rates decreased from March to April in 94 counties, with only Unicoi County reporting an increase.
Williamson County recorded the state’s lowest unemployment rate for the month at 2.2%.
Locally, rates looked like this…Giles County 3.5%, Lawrence County 3.2%, Maury County 2.6%, Marshall County 2.9%, Lewis County 3.2%, Lincoln County 2.9%, Moore County 2.7%, and Wayne County 3.0%.
