In news from the Northern part of Giles County…

The Lynnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen has selected a new vice mayor and a new alderman.

Lynnville Mayor Tim Turner informed the board, May 6th, that Vice Mayor Ed Bowman had submitted his letter of resignation.

Former Lynnville Alderman Carrie Riner was nominated to fill Bowman’s vacated seat and was elected by a unanimous vote.

Alderman Keela Hood was nominated to fill the Vice Mayor seat, agreed to accept the nomination and was also approved unanimously.

The Lynnville Board will hold their next meeting at 7pm Tuesday, June 3rd, at the Lynnville Municipal Building.
