In relation to a missing person case that the Florence Police Department released, an arrest has been made. Autumn Paige Stickland, 38, was last seen on Saturday, May 17th leaving the area of the Sticklin Hotel on Court Street around 1:50 AM. She was last seen wearing a black tank top, jean shorts, and flip flops. She was reported missing as of Sunday, May 18th. Investigators expressed their gratitude to the community for the support and tips that helped move the case forward. On Tuesday, May 20th in the early morning hours, the Florence Police Department made an arrest in the 2200 block of North Wood Avenue. Logan Rogers, 28, of Florence, was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder and is currently being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $1,000,000 bond. After investigating, evidence indicates that Autumn was intentionally struck by a vehicle. At that time, she had still not been located. Later on, Tuesday afternoon, detectives executed a search warrant and discovered human remains at the same residence that Rogers had been arrested at. After this discovery, Roger’s charge is now upgraded to Murder and he is being held without bond, pending Aniah’s Law hearing. The remains have been sent to a forensics lab to be analyzed and to confirm the identity. At this time, detectives are awaiting that answer to know which way the case will lead. The department expressed their gratitude to the detectives who were dedicated to this case and the support from the community.
