In Sheffield, a Man is Arrested for the Death of a Three-Month-Old Baby

Following an investigation into the death of a three-month-old baby, Sheffield Police have made two arrests. Javon Hargrove, 20, was taken into custody on Friday, May 9th and charged with four counts of child endangerment, three counts of aggravated child abuse, and manslaughter, according to the police. The same day, Denise Derrick was also taken into custody and charged with four counts of child endangerment and two counts of aggravated child abuse. Both individuals were taken to Colbert County Jail where Hargrove is being held on a $100,000 bond. The investigation by Sheffield Police is still ongoing at this time.
