Virginia Carol Cox Barnes

Virginia Carol Cox Barnes, age 86, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Friday, May 09, 2025, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from NHC Healthcare Lawrenceburg, and of the Church of Christ Faith. She had many years of factory work and was an avid gardener.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Flournoy and Lola Grace Braly Cox; two sisters, Ona Belle Cox Faulkner and Reba Cox Leighton; one brother, Paul Cox; and one daughter, Vicky Barnes.

She is survived by two sons, Randy Barnes (Vicky) of Westpoint, TN and Todd Barnes (Lana) of Lawrenceburg, TN; four grandchildren, April Judkins (Bo), Brianna Kelly, Jay Barnes, and Callie Barnes; and five great-grandchildren, Gracie Burchell (Peyton), Anniston Judkins, Blake Judkins, Chance Kelly, and Jacer Kelly; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Monday, May 12, 2025, with Keith Barnett officiating. Interment will follow at Black Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
