According to WAAY 31, a Huntsville woman was detained after two hit-and-run accidents on Monday night. The incidents happened on Triana Boulevard and included a small black sedan and a white truck. Sgt. Chris Jackson of the Huntsville Police Department identified the suspect as Julie Yvette Pinchon, 33. Officers observed a distinct stench of alcohol on her at the time of her detention. According to Jackson, Pinchon first struck a vehicle near Holmes Avenue and Triana Boulevard. She then drove south, running a red light and colliding with a truck on Governors Drive. According to Jackson, the truck driver reported injuries but denied medical attention. Pinchon was detained after attempting to flee. Pinchon allegedly spat on a firefighter while being evaluated by Huntsville Fire Department staff. She was charged with DUI and assault with bodily fluids. The General Investigations Unit is reviewing criminal case records related to leaving the scene of an accident.
