Karen Marie Koons, age 54, of Summertown, TN passed away Friday, May 02, 2025, at her residence. She was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, and formerly employed at High Grade.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Lee and Rosie Matlock Brown; one sister, Rennie Partain; one brother, JL Matlock; and infant daughter, Jeffrica Marie Hardiman.

She is survived by her husband, Donald “Don” Koons of Summertown, TN; two sons, Virgil Holt Luna, Jr. and Clifford Eugene Luna, both of Lawrence County, TN; two daughters, Sharmon Marie Bethlee Hardiman and Karen Bivens, both of Lawrence County, TN; one step-son, Donnie Koons of Lawrence County, TN; three sisters, Edith Marie Hill, Sue Luna, and Rosie Whitehead, all of Lawrence County, TN; two brothers, Eugene Matlock of Chicago, IL and Clifford Ray Lemay of Culleoka, TN; four grandchildren, Lily Ann Luna, Thea Rose Luna, Myla Cheyenne Luna, and Cordell Holt Luna; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 07, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 08, 2025, with Edd Luna officiating. Interment will follow at Ethridge Masonic Cemetery in Ethridge, TN.
