Florence Firefighters Save Three Pets from a House Fire

Three pets were rescued when Florence firefighters responded to a house fire on Sunday, May 4th during the night that damaged a portion of a residence. Crews were sent to the 300 block of North Fulton Street shortly after 7:00 PM, according to Florence Fire and Rescue. When Engine 4 arrived, the carport was the source of intense flames that were extending into the attic and a portion of the house. As other units came to help, Engine 4 crews started putting out the fire. After bringing the fire under control, firefighters extinguished hot spots for approximately an hour before deeming it completely extinguished. As for the three pets recused, all are safe and no injuries occurred. The cause of the fire is still under investigation at this time.
