The Lawrence County EMS Releases Monthly Stats for April

The Lawrence County Emergency Medical Services has released its monthly statistics for April. Throughout the month, the department had a total of 564 requests, of which 384 patients were transported. Other than local transfers to Southern Tennessee Regional Lawrenceburg, 56 were transported to Maury Regional, 4 to Southern Tennessee Regional Pulaski, 27 to North Alabama Medical Center, and 35 to non-adjoining counties. Refusal of care and no care required calls were 116, cancelled calls and no patient found were 46, fire standby, law enforcement assistance, and mutual aid requests were 16, and community outreach was 4. Call volume for April seen a slight decrease comparted to March 25th to April 24th. Education opportunities included; courses on trauma during pregnancy, report writing, and the Advance Medical Life Support Course. Two individuals completed the Critical Incident Stress Debriefing training through the TN Public Safety Network. Community outreach events included; career presentations at local schools, a presentation on the Yellow Dot medical information program at Loretto Senior Center, and assisting with a mock crash at Loretto High School to stress the important of safe driving practices and the effects of poor decisions.
