Toys for Tots and the Lawrence County School System are collaborating on a book donation and exchange as part of their literacy program. The goal of the Toys for Tots Literacy Program is to provide kids the tools they need to thrive in school and beyond. This program, which is an extension of Marine Toys for Tots, aims to promote literacy by giving books to children in need, assisting in the creation of home libraries, and encouraging a love of reading that lasts a lifetime. By lending your support to this initiative, you encourage students to use the gift of reading to build better futures. Toys for Tots Literacy Program is a proud partner of LCSS. You can contribute new or slightly used books to any LCSS school from Monday, May 5th to Friday, May 16th. Every campus will host an exchange event on Wednesday, May 21st where Kindergarten through 3rd Grade students will be allowed to select new books to take home for the summer. For more information you can contact Toys for Tots- Lawrence County at Rebecca.jantke@lcss.us or jjantke31@gmail.com
