The Lawrence County School Systems Host ‘CTE Night of Stars 2025’

Lawrence County Schools met on Monday, April 28th for CTE Night of Stars 2025 at the Historic Crockett Theater. The event was to recognize students from elementary to high school from all Lawrence County schools. Students were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in career and technical education. These include industry-recognized certifications, CTE program completer status, participation in career and technical student organizations, and achievements in work ethic, community service, leadership, and more. These students, who combine academic knowledge with practical skills and experiences, are shining examples of what it means to be future-ready. Presented programs included Agriculture, Automotive, Business, Construction, Cosmetology, Digital Design, Drone, Engineering/Stem, First Lego League, Health Science, Human Services, Skills USA- middle school, Teaching as a Profession, and Welding. Faculty members were also recognized as they retire after years of incredible service to the CTE programs. Those members were Sherry Stout, Sheryl Hester, and Jana Long. The school board expressed their gratitude to each family, teacher, sponsor, and community partner that helped to celebrate student success and made the event possible.
