For the third consecutive year, The Leapfrog Group awarded Southern Tennessee Regional Health System-Lawrenceburg a “A” Hospital Safety Grade. This honor honors STRHS-Lawrenceburg’s continuous accomplishments in defending hospital patients against avoidable mistakes and errors. “Receiving an ‘A’ from The Leapfrog Group is a remarkable accomplishment, positioning STRHS-Lawrenceburg among the nation’s top hospitals for patient safety” said Rhee Perry, CEO of Southern Tennessee Regional Health System – Lawrenceburg. “To receive this honor three times in a row is a designation that really showcases our team’s unwavering and consistent commitment to providing safe, high-quality care each and every day. I’m deeply thankful to our staff, physicians, board members, and volunteers for their dedication to our patients and community.” Based on a hospital’s capacity to avoid patient damage and medical errors, the Leapfrog Group, an independent national watchdog group, has been giving general hospitals across the United States letter grades for ten years. Peer review, complete transparency, and public free access are all features of the grading system. The findings of Hospital Safety Grade are revised every autumn and spring and are based on over 30 national performance metrics. “STRHS-Lawrenceburg’s continued growth and expansion reflect our dedication to meeting our community’s needs, and earning the Leapfrog ‘A’ Safety score this spring reaffirms that our strategic progress only strengthens our unwavering commitment to patient safety” Perry continued.
