Donald “Don” Robert Owens

Donald “Don” Robert Owens, of Pulaski, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on April 20th, 2025, at NHC Pulaski. He was born on October 31st, 1941, in Cranbury, New Jersey and was 83 years old.

Don was a lifelong row crop farmer beginning in grade school and continuing throughout his life until the very end. He began his farm operation in Cranbury, New Jersey. He moved his farming operation to Giles County, Tennessee in 2004 and established Owens Farms. Don took tremendous pride in his equipment and his farm management. His knowledge of the history of agriculture equipment and farming techniques were amazing.

Mr. Don was very active in the Crossroads of Dixie Antique Tractor & Engine Club almost immediately after he moved into our area. Many of y’all will remember him for his beautiful collection of Oliver tractors and his hickory striped train engineer’s hat. Always quick with a good joke or funny story. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be 1:00pm to 3:00pm Friday, May 2nd, 2025, at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will follow at 3:30pm, Friday, May 2nd, 2025, at the Owens Cemetery on Owens Farms in Giles County, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his parents Donald S. and Vera Tracy Owens. His partner of 20 years Barbara Engler along with his beloved dog Jersey.

He is survived by;
A very special person to him Kenzie “Shrimpy” Quick.
Numerous friends who became his adoptive family.
