On Friday, April 25th, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Miller Lane in reference to a break in call. After speaking with the complainant, he stated that the most noticeable thing missing was an 870 12-gauge shotgun that he was unable to provide serial numbers for. The complainant stated he was out of town and his brother had been watching his home. After further investigation, a window on the back door has been smashed in and the dresser mirror in the bedroom had been smashed as well. Also, a window on the garage door had been broken and a jar of jalapenos were smashed in the living room floor as well as an egg. The complainant stated he would call if he noticed anything else was missing. The complainant also believed a relative, not his brother, could be behind the incident.
