Lawrence County Fire and Rescue Responded to a Car Crash on a Bridge in Iron City

On the afternoon of Monday, April 21st, 2025, Lawrence County Fire and Rescue units from the Iron City Station responded to a car accident on Iron City Road close to the Shoal Creek Bridge that resulted in reported injuries. Significant vehicle and bridge damage was reported by the first units to arrive. To assess the bridge’s structural foundation, the Tennessee Department of Transportation was called to the scene. Thankfully, the collision did not result in any serious injuries. This collision happened just hours after LCFR units responded to a serious collision involving two passenger cars and a boat that was being towed on Highway 43 South in Leoma.
