Charles Edward Morris was born December 20 th , 1941 and passed to his Heavenly home on April 21 st ,
2025 surrounded by his wife and family. Charles was a member of Scotts Hill Baptist Church. He was a
devoted husband to his wife Helen for 60 years. Charles was retired as a machinist from Gabriel
Manufacturing.
Charles earned the name “Grandaddy” and wore the name proudly. He was a Grandaddy to many,
although his fishing buddies refer to him as “Ski-Daddy”. Charles loved his old cars and was a proud
member of the P.A.C.E Car Club. He was known as an avid fisherman, huntsman, and friend to all.
Charles loved his jukebox and over the years was known to dance and make memories with his family
and friends. Charles had many side jobs over the years but for the last 5 years he enjoyed the time he
spent building, selling, and delivering deer-stands with his grandson and sidekick Eric. Charles and Eric
are known to donate their work to benefits and charity auctions.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 23 rd , 2025 from 11:00am until 2:00pm at Bennett-May and Pierce
Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will follow at 2:00pm Wednesday, April 23 rd , 2025 in the Chapel of Bennett-May and
Pierce Funeral Home.
The burial will follow in Scotts Hill Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Scotts Hill
Cemetery.
Charles is proceeded in death by his parents Thomas Jefferson Morris and Gladys Mayella Holt Morris.
His son Timothy E. Morris. Brothers, Thomas F. Morris and William Paul Morris along with his sister Ruby
Storey.
Charles is survived by his wife Helen Morris of Pulaski, TN. Daughter, Melonie Morris of Pulaski, TN.
Brother Chester and Linda Morris of Goodspring, Tn. Sister, Lena “Neno” Morris of Pulaski, TN.
Grandchildren, Shelley and Eric Britt of Leoma, TN. Chasity and Timothy Strickland of Pulaski, TN.
Zackery Morris of Columbia, TN. 6 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren also survive.
Charles is also survived by his good friends Jimmy Miller, Vernon Miller, and Mike Deitsch.
Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Charles Edward Morris.
