The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office Responds to an Aggravated Burglary Call

On Monday, April 21st, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call at 10 Busby Road, Loretto involving a break in that occurred overnight. When units arrived, they spoke with a man who stated when he arrived to the property, which was empty, the door knob was broken off at the outside storage room on the residence. The owner stated after the door knob was broke, the suspect entered the residence and stole the hot water heater out of the storage room. The pipes had been broken off at the top and the hot water heater was no where to be found. No other doors of the residence were touched and there were no signs of any other missing objects. The owner stated he would be contacting his home owner’s insurance company to notify them of the matter.
