An 18-Year-Old in Columbia is Found Unresponsive, Another is Arrested for Murder

On Tuesday, April 15th, Columbia Police Department released public information about an eighteen-year-old found unresponsive. The Columbia Police responded to a call involving a shooting at a residence on Whatley Street at approximately 5:30 PM. When police arrived on the scene, Jayden Braden, 18, was found unresponsive and suffered from gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to Maury Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. Investigators found through leads directed toward eighteen-year-old Alijah Wolfin who was located at a Columbia residence and taken into custody. Wolfin has been charged with First Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Violent Felony, Reckless Endangerment, and Aggravated Assault Resulting in Death.
