Joan Shelton

Joan Shelton , age 77 of Loretto, TN passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at home after an extended illness. She was a native of Lauderdale County,AL, Retired Secretary for Lawrence County Board of Education, and a member of Loretto Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held at Loretto Methodist Church on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Jeff Jacob will be officiating. Burial will follow in Loretto Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Loretto Methodist Church.

Survivors are:

Son- Kenneth “Kenny” Shelton (Lori) Florence, AL

Daughters- Lisa Johns Loretto, TN

Christy Green St. Joseph, TN

Brothers- Larry Killen (Roseanne) Cleveland, TN

Gary Killen Rome, GA

Sister- Genevieve Newton Loretto, TN

7 Grandchildren- Justin Johns, Brandon Johns, Ashley Abercrombie,

Tristan Green, Alyssa Green, Murphy Shelton, & Palmer Shelton

4 Great Grandchildren- Alli, Willa, Waylon, & Carter
