Tammy Delynn Jordan Gaudette passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025 surrounded by her loving
husband and their children after battling glioblastoma, a terminal brain cancer, for the past 8 months.
Tammy was born in Pulaski, TN to the late Houston and Betty Jordan on February 3, 1967. She lived in
Giles County all of her life, graduating from Giles County High School in 1985, and she so loved her
community. She married Paul Gaudette in 1987 and together they raised their 4 children. She was a
stay-at-home mom for many years and then started her career as a teacher’s aid at Bridgeforth Middle
School in Pulaski, and later at Elkton School. After falling in love with being in the world of education,
Tammy decided to go to school to become a teacher. She graduated at Martin Methodist College and
became a second-grade teacher at Elkton School and was there for many years until her brain cancer
stopped her from continuing.
Tammy was so full of life. She was involved with all activities at Elkton school, and was always the life of
the party with her Halloween costumes each year. She loved the kids in her classes and worked very
hard to teach them as well as help them enjoy coming to school. She had many friends from all walks of
life, including her best friend from childhood, Renee Meadows Hurd along with others, and the Swizzles,
who were her best friends and travel buddies from her teaching years. She loved her trips to the beach,
her favorite place, with her family and friends.
Tammy’s family meant everything to her. Her husband, 3 daughters and 1 son were her world. She loved
her sons and daughters-in-law, and then along came her precious grandchildren to make her world even
brighter. She had so much life left to live, but the short time she lived on this earth she definitely made a
difference as evidenced in the support she and her family have been shown during this tragic time of her
disease.
Tammy was the favorite of her four siblings, and not just the favorite of her parents, but the favorite of
all of her siblings. She brought so much joy to the Jordan family but will now be joining her mom and
dad in Heaven. She was a former member of Elkton Baptist Church.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Houston and Betty McFarland Jordan, and her
grandparents, Robert and Evelyn Jordan, and Henry and Addye McFarland. She is survived by her
husband of 38 years, Paul A. Gaudette. Her four children, Lauren (Devin) Gaudette, Heath (Anna)
Gaudette, Brooklyn (Chase) Gaudette Brewer, and Briley (Ben) Gaudette Erwin. Four grandchildren,
Kade Kimbrough, Everett and Declan Brewer, and Aleise Gaudette. Three siblings, Diane (Tom) Jordan
Owens, Gary (Christie) Jordan, and Lisa Sanderson (Mike), and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Bennett-May & Pierce Funeral Home and Crematory from 11:00am until
2:00pm on April 18 th , 2025. Funeral service will be held on April 18 th , 2025 at 2:00pm in the chapel of
Bennett-May & Pierce, followed by burial in Maplewood cemetery in Pulaski. In lieu of flowers the
family requests that donations be made to Donate to the Best Glioblastoma Charity | Glioblastoma
Foundation.
