The Lawrence County Board of Education Upcoming Meeting

The Lawrence County Board of Education will meet on Thursday, April 17th at 5:00 PM. There are several items on the agenda including presentations, recognitions, consent items, report items, budget items, and other items for consideration, discussion, and action. Presentations will include Civics Bee winners, State Lego League winners, and Blair Smith, Occupational Therapy (UTC Doctoral student). Recognitions will include retired educator, Charles Gobbell, and students from LES and DCES. Consent items include approval of minutes, business report, volunteers, and overnight field trips. Report items include school reports for Leoma Elementary School and David Crockett Elementary School, personnel report, capital projects update, LCEA, and Tennessee Legislative Network. Budget items include Lawrence County School Systems district-wide science textbook adoption and floor care products, LCHS baseball, football, and soccer fields upgrading lighting as well as football bleachers matching funds with the City of Lawrenceburg, and SHS wastewater plant operator. Other items for consideration include the next Board Meeting as a Budget Work Session on Thursday, May 22nd at 4:00 PM and Regular Board Meeting on Thursday, May 22nd at 5:00 PM.
