The Lawrence County Board of Education Board Member Retreat Upcoming Meeting

The Lawrence County Board of Education will host a Board Member Retreat on Thursday, April 17th, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, prior to the regular monthly Board meeting, at the Central Office Board Room to discuss Long-Term Planning for the Lawrence County School System. This will be the second Retreat session with more to follow prior to the monthly Board Meetings. Schedule is subject to change with notice. The agenda includes several items for consideration and discussion. All items may not have the chance to be discussed due to limited time. These items include MGT recent finding, Out of Zone numbers, Limited Enrollment at various schools expected for 25-26 EES, LPS, SES, Development of Primary and Intermediate school’s pros and cons, Student Transportation challenges-considerations-staggered times for schools, and fund balance and future expenditures-science and social studies adoptions budgeted $1.8 million for each adaption.
