Harold J. Rucker

Harold J. Rucker, age 88, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, April 09, 2025, at Parkview Meadows in Murfreesboro, TN. He was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, retired from Murray Ohio in 1995 after 38 1/2 years, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He also served as a deacon at Highland Park Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, and he had perfect attendance at Sunday School for 55 years. Mr. Rucker was a Mason for 65 years and a member of the Eastern Star for 54 years. His daddy worked for the railroad for 43 years leading him to become an avid rail fan. He had a train room dedicated to the memory of his daddy and mother.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brady Cesaro and Ora Mae McCoy Rucker; his wife, Charlsie Ann Williams Rucker; and one daughter, Angela Faye Reeves.

He is survived by one daughter, Freda Barber (David) of Murfreesboro, TN; five grandchildren, Mindy Reeves McGee (Dennis) of Leoma, TN, Michael Reeves (Keri) of Loretto, TN, Brooke Reeves Brazier (Scott) of Loretto, TN, Becky Barber Owens (Josh) of Lynchburg, TN, and Carly Barber Chaffin (Chase) of Harriman, TN; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Koelsch of Columbia, TN; two nieces; and two nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 13, 2025, with Reggie Coleman, Keith Durham, and Steve Shedd officiating with a Masonic service to follow. Interment will follow at Leoma Cemetery in Leoma, TN.
