Local Fire Departments Receive Rescue Squad Grants

Two of Lawrence County’s fire departments were among 95 from across the state selected to receive grant funds through the 2025 Rescue Squad Grant Program.  Both Ethridge Volunteer Fire Department and West End Fire & Rescue will receive a portion of the $3 million to be dispersed.  The funds may be used to purchase equipment for incident response or to protect the lives of squad members.
