Lawrence County EMS Monthly Stats for March 2025

The Lawrence County Emergency Medical Services has released its monthly statistics for March. Throughout the month, the department had a total of 660 requests, of which 436 patients were transported. Other than local transfers to Southern Tennessee Regional Lawrenceburg, 55 were transported to Maury Regional, 8 to Southern Tennessee Regional Pulaski, 20 to North Alabama Medical Center, and 50 to non-adjoining counties. Refusal of care and no care required calls were 169, cancelled calls and no patient found were 82, fire standby, law enforcement assistance, and mutual aid requests were 8, and community outreach was 4. Call volume for March 2025 is seen as an increase of 20% from February and a 10% increase from March 2024. Continuing education opportunities for March included courses on bariatric care and refusal of care. Some responders also completed the Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course. Also, the department hosted a regional Neonatal Resuscitation Program at the STHEC in Lawrenceburg, which helped the following week to successfully deliver a baby while transporting a patient. LCEMS also participated in four community outreach events, providing education to thirty students and event standbys. Administrators from LCEMS also visited Nashville on March 19th for EMS Day on the Hill and met with legislators.
