Last week on Wednesday, March 19th, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department arrived at a residence to serve an arrest warrant. After arriving, law enforcement made their way to the back of the house, where the individual was supposed to be located in an attached room to the home. The door was already open, and the suspect was spotted right away along with a female individual. After entering the bedroom, the male subject was standing at the bed with a knife and was immediately told to drop the knife and put his hands on his head. At the same time, the female became suspicious and had something in her hand that she had attempted to hide amongst other things on the bed. The male suspect, Clinton Neal, was then taken into custody. The female, Susan Mason, was then searched and questioned by officers outside. At that time, multiple glass pipes used for narcotics were found on the bed and sitting on the dresser. The area where the female attempted to hide something was searched, and a small baggie of a white crystal-like substance was found. Mason was then placed under arrest and charged with Simple Possession (Meth) and Drug Paraphernalia. Neal was under arrest for seven outstanding warrants out of Lawrence County, and both were transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
