LCEMS Delivers Baby During Transport

Members of the Lawrence County Emergency Medical Service delivered a baby boy during an emergency transport Friday morning.  They were called to the scene of a traffic stop by sheriff’s deputies, then began to transport the woman, who was in active labor, to Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems – Lawrenceburg. The baby boy was born while they were en route.  Both mother and baby made it to the hospital safely and were said to be doing well.
