On Tuesday afternoon, Maury County Fire Department was sent on automatic aid to Mt Pleasant City for a fire in a residential building. The units arrived and were designated for the vent group and fire attack. The vent group made two cutouts: one above the first floor and another above the structure’s second floor. The fire invasion progressed a 1 3/4” hand line to the second floor before being retracted. As conditions deteriorated, the incident ultimately shifted to defensive operations. Members worked at the scene for about three and a half hours. Chief Stewart from Mt Pleasant effectively commanded a challenging fire involving three different fire departments on the scene.
