Florence PD Warns Motorists to Drive Carefully

Due to this weekend’s predicted inclement weather, the Florence Police Department is warning motorists to exercise much caution when driving.  Rain reduces visibility and increases the distance needed for braking on slippery roads, therefore they remind motorists to slow down.  Since rain reduces visibility, making it more difficult for other motorists to see you, they remind you to turn on your headlights during periods of rain.  Also, they remind motorists to make sure that your windshield wipers are in good condition to ensure your line of vision is as clear as possible.
