Man Threatens to Set Families House on Fire and Follows Through with his Plan

On March 8, 2025, Lauderdale County Deputies and Investigators responded to a structure fire on County Road 5 in Lauderdale County at the Central Volunteer Fire Department’s request. When the Deputies arrived, the Firefighters reported to them that they had seen a man, later identified as Bradley Christopher Harvey, at the scene of the fire, who then fled into the woods as they arrived. Later, Deputies encountered a man matching the description near the tree line and began a foot pursuit. Deputies seized Bradley Harvey and held him for interrogation. Investigators heard from eyewitnesses that Bradley Harvey had threatened a family member earlier in the day to burn down his house. Bradley Christopher Harvey was arrested following the inquiry and charged with First-Degree Arson, Attempting to Elude, and Resisting Arrest. Bradley Harvey is now being held without bond at the Lauderdale County Detention Center, awaiting an Aniah’s Law hearing.
