Former Perry County Schools Employee Charged With Statutory Rape

A former Perry County Schools employee was indicated by a grand jury Monday on charges that include aggravated statutory rape and solicitation of a minor. Documents indicated that Rachel Carroll had been involved with a minor between the ages of 13 and 18 in January of last year.  School officials said that Carroll was placed on administrative leave as soon as the district was notified of the allegations.
