The University of North Alabama Sport and Recreation Management program has reached a key milestone by winning first place in the Dr. Samantha Roberts Case Study Competition at the 2025 Applied Sport Management Association (ASMA) Conference, which will be held by the University of Cincinnati. The annual ASMA Conference brings together students, scholars, and professionals from all across the country to debate and participate in practical research and case studies in the sports management business. UNA’s team battled against some of the nation’s premier institutions, demonstrating their problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and industry expertise. Elijah Hartnett, Ja’Larris Williams, Savannah Mims, and D.J. Prance won for their outstanding presentation and case study research, gaining praise from industry leaders and academic peers. Their accomplishment cements UNA’s Sport and Recreation Management program as a leader in educating students for careers in the sports sector. Congratulations!
