The Lawrenceburg Community Theatre Receives Grant and Gears up for Upcoming Shows

The Lawrenceburg Community Theatre‬‭ has been awarded the‬ Tennessee Arts Commission’s Arts Builds Community Grant, allowing hundreds of‬ second-grade students from Lawrence County’s public and private schools to attend a special‬ matinee performance of‬‭ Beauty and the Beast Jr.‬‭ at‬‭ no cost. The event will take place on‬ Friday, March 14th, 2025, at the historic Crockett Theater‬‭ as part of LCT’s mission to make live‬ theater accessible to all.‬ This initiative, made possible through the efforts of grant coordinators‬‭ Kathy Burns‬‭ and‬ Bethany Nelson‬‭ and grant writer‬‭ Nancy Brewer‬‭, aims‬‭ to introduce young students to the‬‭ performing arts and foster a love for creativity, storytelling, and live performance.‬ ‬In addition to the special school performance,‬‭ Beauty and the Beast Jr.‬‭ will run for three public‬‭ performances at the Crockett Theater on Friday, March 14th at 7:00 PM‬, Saturday, March 15th at 7:00 PM‬, and Sunday, March 16th Matinee at 2:00 PM‬.
