The Lawrence County Fire Rescue Volunteers responded to 15 calls for service on Tuesday, March 4th. The 15 calls included one structure fire, a person-not-breathing call, a motor vehicle crash, and several wind-driven brush fires. Resources were stretched thin due to multiple high-priority calls around the county. Due to a lack of manpower, all personnel from each LCFR station were asked to report to their respective stations. Lawrenceburg Fire Department and Loretto Fire Department were also placed on standby since there were no more people available to respond to calls. The stations are grateful to the surrounding counties for their continuous voluntary help as well.
